StairFurb landing kits are the perfect solution to transform your landing area and allow light to flow into your landing. Traditional staircases and landings have spindles or boards which block light and cast a shadow on the landing area. The majority of staircases in peoples homes are the same ones that the builders installed when developing the home. More often than not, these staircases are designed to just be a place holder. They’re designed to only be functional, not to be stylish or elegant. StairFurb’s staircase kit is elegant, stylish and very easy to install.
The landing section is any section which runs horizontally to a flat floor. These sections must have a suitable newel post at either end and these posts should be aligned such that a 50mm wide baserail could run between the post. There is often a 90 degree turn in the handrail. If this is the case, we are able to provide for this setup with no problem. However, if there is a newel post on the apex of a 90 degree turn in the handrial, this would be two separate landing sections. The video guides in the designer system should clarify this.
When possible we will set the handrail height for your landing section such that the top of the handrail height is over 900mm from the trendline. The height we are able to set the handrail for your balustrade may be limited by the newel post height. If your newel post height is too short to allow us to set a 900mm handrail height, we will set the handrail to the highest height possible. If you require your handrail to be set above a specific height, please be sure to let a member of the team know by email as soon as you have placed your order.
