StairFurb makes made-to-measure staircase refurbishment kits in our own UK factory. We measure, cut, drill and label every kit for your exact staircase, then send it to you ready to fit.
Most of our customers fit their kit themselves with two people, basic hand tools and a weekend. If you would rather not, we can help you find a local fitter. Either way, you avoid the cost and disruption of a full staircase replacement.
Our family has worked in DIY home improvement since 1998, and we have run StairFurb since 2014. That hands-on family approach has not changed as we have grown.
What We Do
We manufacture made-to-measure kits that update the staircase you already have, instead of replacing it. You fit the kit yourself, swapping dated spindles or a tired balustrade for glass, oak, painted or metal, without rebuilding the stairs underneath.

What you get with every order
We handle the difficult parts in our factory so the job is achievable at home. These are the things we build into every order.
Made in our UK factory
Every kit is measured, cut, drilled and labelled for your staircase before it leaves us. Nothing is cut to a standard length for you to trim at home.
Ready to Fit
Handrails arrive with the clamps already fitted in the right positions. Each section is labelled, and printed instructions tell you exactly how high to set your handrail.
Specialist Delivery
Glass kits are delivered by a specialist courier trained to handle large glass panels safely. The driver carries each component into a ground-floor room of your choice and checks it over with you before leaving.
Quality Materials
Our glass is 8mm toughened, polished on all edges with radiused corners, and kite-marked to BS EN 12150. Oak components are made from top-grade American white oak. Everything is made to meet UK building regulations.
Backed for ten years
All our balustrade kits come with a 10-year guarantee on materials and manufacturing.
