Wall Mounted Handrails

A wall mounted handrail provides support and safety along walls, typically on staircases, landings, or hallways. It’s fixed directly to the wall with brackets, so it doesn’t require newel posts or a full balustrade structure.

We offer oak (round and square profiles), stainless steel (round profile), and painted pine handrails in white, black, and grey. We also supply Ready2Paint handrails if you want to apply your own colour.

Yes. Every wall mounted handrail includes brackets and fixings. Oak and painted handrails use saddle brackets, while stainless steel handrails include wall-mounted brackets. Pre-drilled holes make installation straightforward.

Absolutely. Our wall mounted handrails are designed for DIY installation. You’ll need a drill and screws suitable for your wall type. Video guides are available in our Fitting Guides section.

Oak and painted handrails are available in standard lengths from 500mm to 4,000mm, with bespoke lengths cut to your exact measurements. Stainless steel handrails come in 1.8m, 2.4m, 3m, and 4.2m lengths.

Round handrails (42mm diameter) offer a comfortable grip and suit traditional or modern spaces. ‘Square’ handrails (58x60mm) provide clean lines for a contemporary look. Oak is available in both round and square profiles. Stainless steel comes in a round profile only. Ready2Paint and all factory-finished painted handrails (white, black, grey) are square profile.

Yes. Untreated oak handrails can be stained or sealed to your preference. We recommend sealing untreated oak with acrylic wood seal (250ml) before applying stain or paint for the best results. Touch-up paint pots are also available for painted handrails.

No. All of our wall mounted handrails are designed for interior use only. They’re not rated for exterior or outdoor applications.

Ready2Paint handrails are our most cost-effective option. They arrive knot-sealed, primed, and sanded smooth in a square profile, ready for you to apply your chosen colour. This gives you complete control over the final finish while keeping costs low.

Yes. Our wall mounted handrails complement all StairFurb balustrade kits, including glass and spindle systems. You can use a wall mounted handrail on one side of your staircase and a full balustrade on the other for a balanced look.
