SPINDLE KIT INTRO
Our contemporary oak spindles are expertly crafted by master craftsman and cut to the bespoke dimensions of your staircase. Straight cut, square spindles are available, as our twisted spindles which are gently twisted around 90° for an elegant and smooth style. Our handrails are secured using machined torque screws, through a pre-drilled pocket hole, ensuring that there is minimal evidence of any fixing points.
StairFurb supply spindle kits completely bespoke cut to the required length, height and angles. We do all the hard work for you, so all you need to is apply some wood glue and input the supplied screws. In short, the kit is provided ready to DIY install.
The fitting process
In a nutshell, the fitting process for embedded glass systems…
Screw the pre-cut baserail into positoin.
Lay down the pre-cut baserail and handrail filler strips and align pre-cut spindles. Apply glue to filler strip and screw through the pre-drilled holes to fix the spindles between the filler strips. Then leave for glue to set.
Apply glue to baserail and insert the assembled section into the baserail.
push handrail onto the top of the assembled section and fix to the newel post at either end using the supplied screws, through the pre-drilled pocket hole.
Apply glue to the supplied dowel, insert it into the pocket hole. Once dry, cut the excess dowel and sand to a smooth finish.
