Maintenance & Cleaning
Spotless Steps. Your guide to keeping a clean and well maintained balustrade.
We recommend cleaning your stair balustrades at least once every two weeks to maintain their pristine appearance.
For our glass balustrades, we suggest using a mild glass cleaner or a solution of water and vinegar to avoid damaging the glass surface. Using a corrosive glass cleaner could cause corroding of the rubber gaskets in glass clamps.
To clean the steel spindle balustrades, use a soft cloth dampened with a mild soapy water solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners to prevent scratches.
For the oak handrail, use a soft cloth with a gentle wood cleaner or a mixture of water and a small amount of mild soap. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents.
To remove fingerprints and smudges from glass panels, use a microfiber cloth and a glass cleaner specially designed for streak-free results. You can buy a glass cleaning kit from our parts shop.
When cleaning painted pine handrails, use a soft cloth and mild soap solution, but avoid excessive scrubbing to preserve the paint’s finish.
Apart from regular cleaning, inspect the balustrades periodically for any loose fittings or damage. Tighten any loose screws and address minor issues promptly.
Yes, avoid placing heavy or sharp objects on the balustrades, and refrain from leaning or applying excessive force on them. Regular care and gentle usage will extend their lifespan.
